If you want to improve the taste of the jam, add to the currants of any other fruit like grapes, gooseberries, raspberries.

Method of preparation

  1. In advance, prepare small sterilized jars and cover.

  2. Berries sort, wash in cold water, remove twigs and leaves. Drain in a colander to drain all the water.

  3. In a bowl put boiling berries. Pour a glass of water, put on fire and bring to a boil. Cook for about 10 minutes, no more.

  4. Then turn off the heat and stir in the berries in the sugar. Allow it to fully dissolve, stirring with a wooden spatula. Allow the jam to stand for 30-40 minutes.

  5. Then put the jam on the heat and bring to a boil and immediately turn off the heat. Let stand 5 minutes and pour the jam of currant jars, roll up lids. Flip and allow it to cool.
