Французский луковый суп

Ingredients

  • Butter 4 tbsp.
  • Olive oil 1 tsp.
  • Garlic 4 large cloves
  • Fresh thyme (chopped) 1 tsp.
  • Dry white wine 1/3 Cup
  • Potatoes 2 pieces of medium size
  • Flour 1/4 Cup
  • Chicken broth (salted) 8 cups
  • Thick cream 3/4 Cup
  • Bay leaf 2 PCs.
  • Grated Parmesan 1/3 Cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Onions sweet 1 kg.
  • Inventory:

    pan, knife, Board, paddle

    Preparation:

    Step 1: prepare the ingredients.

    Potatoes and onions clean. Potatoes cut into cubes of medium size.

    Heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

    Put the onion, salt, stir and simmer under a lid for 4-5 minutes.

    Now remove the lid and cook in medium heat for 40 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes.
    So the bow should look in 20 minutes.

    Add the onions chopped garlic and thyme.

    Add the chicken broth and carefully stir.

    Step 5: add the cream.

    Then pour heavy cream and add the Bay leaves, cover and bring over medium heat to a boil.

    Then cook for 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked.

    At the end remove the Bay leaves and add the grated Parmesan. Remove from heat and serve.

    Step 6: serve French onion soup.

    Serve French onion soup hot. You could add croutons or crackers.
